Commission
Learn how commission is calculated on OnAnthem for each merchant-partner connection.
How commission works on OnAnthem
- A fan completes checkout on a partner surface that uses the OnAnthem experience.
- The payment is processed through Stripe Connect as a destination charge, with you (the merchant) as the merchant of record.
- OnAnthem applies the commission terms configured for that specific merchant–partner connection.
- From the Stripe charge, OnAnthem computes an application fee that represents the platform share and the partner commission for that order.
- The remaining net amount from the charge flows to your Stripe account, and OnAnthem records the commission and fees attached to that transaction.
How it works
- Each merchant–partner relationship can have its own pricing terms, revenue split, and commercial structure.
- These terms are configured on the connection in OnAnthem and may follow an existing in‑person deal or a completely different online‑only arrangement.
- Whenever an order is placed through that partner’s surface, OnAnthem uses the configured terms for that connection to determine how revenue from the order is allocated between:
- You as the merchant
- The partner
- OnAnthem as the platform
What affects the calculation
- Commission is calculated using the connection’s active terms at the time of sale.
- The calculation is based on the final captured Stripe charge, reflecting what the fan actually paid.
- If you later update the connection’s terms, the new structure applies only to future orders created after the update.
- Existing orders keep the commission structure that was active when those orders were originally placed.
Good to know
- Commission logic in OnAnthem is flexible enough to support different splits and deal structures for different partners and events.
- Because commission is derived from real Stripe payments tied to Shopify orders, both you and your partners have a clear, auditable view of how much each party earned on every transaction.
